Instructions

It’s pretty simple -- just start the program and the alert will begin. Tap the screen to bring up the bottom toolbar which allows for muting or pausing the alert, entering and exiting full screen mode, selecting and editing alerts and setting an alarm. There are additional options under the menu in the upper-left corner.

Use the device’s volume buttons to control the siren volume level.

To set an Alarm select the clock icon in the bottom toolbar. The alarm will sound at the specified time each day if enabled. The program must not be running in order for the alarm to activate.

Note that if the device screen is locked when the alert sounds, only the siren will be heard. The visual alert will not be seen until the user turns on the screen and unlocks the device. There appears to be no way to currently unlock the device automatically from a 3rd party application.

FAQ

Q:
Why don’t I hear any sound?
A: Make sure your device’s hardware volume is set high enough to hear. On the TouchPad the volume buttons are on the right side when holding the device in portrait mode with the camera on top. If the device volume is up, tap the screen while the alert is running and make sure that it is not paused. Press the Mute/Unmute button a few times, every now and then the OS stops playing the looped audio and muting/unmuting will once again play the audio. If a custom alert is set, make sure that the audio file still exists on the device. If not, select a different siren. Finally, try using the Reset… menu to restore the original program settings; restart the program.
